You guy want to know why I am proud to be Thai?  Well I will tell you why.
Thailand is a wonderful place many beautiful places like Phuket (Thailand’s biggest island), Cheng Mai and other places. Thai food is also delicious like som tam, tom yum and pad Thai. You want to know more about Thailand? I can tell you!
Thai people created these weapons, there’s two weapons those are Krabi (sword) and a Ngaw a pole weapon which is used by the elephant warriors.
The local games are Makruk is a board game and Pok Deng a gambling card game, the sport games are Sepak Takraw or you can just call it Takraw, this game uses a wooden ball it is similar with volley ball but they use the foot to kick back the ball.
I’ll give you some examples of the martial arts we have in Thailand Muay Thai, Krabi Krabong (uses the sword Krabi), Muay Boran (Boran means old), Ledrit is taught and used by the royal army and the last one Silat Pattani.
Oh and did you know the last king of Thailand King Bhumiboi Adulyadej is the longest king who lived? And King Buddha Yodfa Chulaloke is the first king of Thailand! Isn’t this amazing!
There’s abput 400 temples all around Bangkok but I will tell you about some of them. Let’s start with Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of Emerald Buddha) this temple is known for their emerald Buddha, carved into 66cm tall block of jade! Wat Pho (Temple of Reclining Buddha) was named after a monastery in India where Buddha is believed to have lived, is one of the most oldest and largest Buddhist temples in Bangkok.
There’s these cars called Tuk Tuk in Thailand it is used to travel around the city, village or town. People often used these cars to tour them self around places.
Have you seen markets close to the river (well a small river), some places they used boats to travel around the stream and sell things this is called floating market.
Oh and I almost forgot to mention about Thailand’s national animal the elephants, people in Thailand trained elephants to make entertainment. Few months ago I went to this place called Measa Elephant Camp, it was so fun. That was my first place riding an elephant it was so bumpy I thought I would fall off but I didn’t.
This was fun talking about my country, I hope someday one of you guys who reads this will come visit Thailand.
